About Me

My photo
Jim
I live in the Philly suburbs (way out!) with my wife, five kids and assorted pets and kid's friends.
I work in the Pharmaceutical industry as a Business Partner, meaning I sit between the scientific community and the IT / business world as something of a translation layer.
My title is Director, Research and Labs, Business Technology and as it implies, I cover the Research and Labs portion of the R&D capability across four divisions in a global drug company. My current clients include Consumer Healthcare, Nutritionals (Primarily infant), Animal Health and a Capsule and Coatings division.
Prior to this role, I was in a strategy & operations role for a business systems and processes group supporting the Research area on the pharma (RX) side of the house with responsibility across Discovery, Pre-Clinical and also Vaccines in another global drug company.
My past roles include the more technical as well as business, consulting and manufacturing. In the more distant past, there was work in electrical and electronics engineering as well as a stint in the US Marines.
